Karuna
Erickson has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years.
She has taught in Canada, the US, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, and
Hawaii. Karuna has studied with many world-renowned teachers, including
B. K. S. lyengar, Rodney Yee, Baba Hari Dass, Judith Lasater, and
Andrew Harvey. Recently she has been assisting Rodney Yee in his
workshops and is working with him on his next video. Karuna received
teacher training at the lyengar Yoga Institute in San Francisco,
as well as in India, and is certified by Yoga Alliance at the advanced
level. Her 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist has created
a compassionate sensitivity and attention to the process of each
student's practice. She is presently co-authoring a book with Andrew
Harvey entitled The Sacred Marriage of Yoga and Mysticism, and teaches
workshops with him across the US and Canada.
Paul Erickson
Paul Erickson has been practicing and studying meditation for 30
years. He has studied with Sayadaw U Lakkana in Burma, and has participated
in many silent retreats with senior western teachers inducing Joseph
Goldstein, Steven and Michelle Smith and Jack Kornfield. He has
taught Insight and Loving-Kindness Meditation courses, led sitting
groups and retreats in the US and Canada. Paul has been certified
by the Community Dharma Leader Program at Spirit Rock Meditation
Center in California to teach meditation classes, groups and retreats.
He has also been a psychotherapist in private practice in Nelson,
BC for 30 years.
